Habitat and Distribution
Borneo.Description
This species is still known only from the area of the Matang hills and Sempadi Forest Reserve in the 1st Division, Sarawak. (J. Dransfield, The genus Areca (Palmae: Arecoideae) in Borneo. 1984)
A very unusual, stemless palm from rainforests in Malaysia with narrow, undivided leaves. Perfect for a protected spot in the tropical garden. (RPS.com)

This small but beautiful Malaysian palm is almost unheard of in cultivation- nice, corrugated leaves. (Geoff Stein)
