Habitat and Distribution

Endemic to Cuba. Mostly on plains, and savannahs.

Description

Solitary, mostly upright costapalmate leaves, very full crown, fairly clean trunk. Monoecious, (both male and female flowers on same plant). Editing by edric.

Culture

Full sun, well drained position, fairly drought tolerant. Hardiness, USDA zones 10a-11. Rare in cultivation.
