A beautiful but very rare, dainty looking, smallish palm, with a slender trunk and finely pinnate leaves, native to the obscure islands of Paama, Epi, Lopevi and Ambrym in Vanuatu, where its fruit and bark are in high demand as an aphrodisiac, stimulant and cure against impotence.
