Here's a screen shot after placing one of the thumbnails inline. If I didn't do this, there was no photo at all placed on the Front Page.
And after clicking on Read More, the inline photo appears, but the thumbnails do not. If I didn't place the inline, only links would appear - no photos on Front Page or the article itself.
