Dypsis decaryi x leptocheilos is one of the more commonly grown and wonderfully ornamental hybrids in the Dypsis genus grown in California. It is a nice mixture of both of the more ornamental properties of both palms, with a tristricous nature of Dypsis decaryi, with the reddish, fuzzy leaf bases and waxy, white trunks of Dypsis leptocheilos.
