A similar looking palm to one grown in the Garden of Bob de Jong in San Clemente, California. Bob's palm was found off the beaten track in Baja California. There is no history known on the palm growing in Hawaii. And no telling how Bob's palm would look growing in Hawaii, or visa versa.
This palm pictured looks very similar to my Abreojos palm. I did sell and give away about 200 seedlings from my original group from which my palm came from 21 years ago. Is it possible that one of them found its way to Oahu? I do remember giving some away at a palm society meeting at my house way back then...PogoBob
