Phoenix roebellini - Archontophoenix cunninghamia This is a pretty narrow zone, at least in terms of damage from cold... though dying from cold and damage from cold are very different things... takes a LOT of cold to actually kill a Phoenix palm, but defoliating this species is easy.. tends to defoliate just a degree or two below that which it takes to badly damage a King palm.. in fact, i have seen Phoenix roebelleniis defoliated and Kings just badly burned... but that may be because Kings are usually quite a bit higher in the air, so is that really a fair comparison.
