"This is a fairly graceful, clustering Ptychopserma from Papau-New Guinea that is known mostly for it's exaggeratedly 'bitten-off' (premorse) leaflets. It makes a wonderful landscape specimen in a tropical garden haveing a tightly packed cluster of thin stems (1") coming out at a slight curved from a single point and gracefully growing up to 40' (eventually)."
A very tall and slender, clustering or sometimes solitary species from lowland rainforests in Papua New Guinea with silvery white crownshafts and flat leaves with narrowly wedge-shaped leaflets. A very beautiful, easy and fast growing palm for the tropics. (RPS.com)
