Habitat and Distribution
Borneo. Stream banks in Borneo rainforest.
Description
Small clustering palm to about 1.5 m tall, caespitose (forming dense clumps). Has narrow, dark green leaflets. It is a rheophyte, (i.e. it grows in the flood plains of streams and rivers). Editing by edric.
Culture
Warm, sheltered, and moist. A tropical lowland plant requiring high humidity, moderate shading, and a minimum temperature of 20 C for good growth. Requires very well-drained soil and frequent watering. Cold Hardiness Zone: 10b
