Comments and Curiosities
From undergrowth of rainforests in Terengganu on the Malay peninsula comes this magnificent species that was described as recently as 1997. Its very unusual and fairly large, fan shaped leaves have rather few, wide segments, with the largest one in the center and getting consecutively smaller towards the base. The leaf stalks are beautifully orange. A splendid palm for the tropical garden. (RPS.com)
