Habitat and Distribution
Malaysia. Sarawak Terengganu, Dungun, Jerangau Forest Reserve.
Description
Stemless, clusteing with 2-5 subdominant shoots. Leaves 4-8 per shoot. Petiole 242 cm long, spines ca. 1/2 of petiole; segments 3-7, mid-segment much larger than the rest. Infructescence ca. perpendicular to vertical axis. Young fruits bright pink, large to 2 cm across, globose to ovoid. Note that sometimes all the ovary in a flower developed into fruits.
