A rare, medium sized palm endemic to the Solomon Islands with a slender trunk and dark green, pinnate leaves. The new leaves of this palm open in a brilliant deep red color, similar to Chambeyronia macrocarpa. It is fast growing and best suited to humid tropical climates or warm subtropical climates.
