"Tropicana Palms" is on more than an acre in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains at an altitude of 1,300 feet above sea level, which, combined with the sloping terrain, gives it a very favored microclimate for the raising of tropical and subtropical plants, including 130 species of palms. Gregory Haines and John Cressey, at 2170 Mendocino, Altadena, California 91001; 626-675-0849. This will be the third PSSC meeting at Messrs. They once hosted 800 visitors in one day, many of whom had come thousands of miles to see.

Ever wonder what you might do with more than an acre to plant on? See this garden and fantasize no more!

There is plenty of parking on both sides of the street, for what we all hope will be vanloads filled with palmistas there to have a good time.
