Description

A tropical lowland forest palm from Borneo. This diminutive and attractive species forms small clumps of slender canes that rarely reach over 1 meter in height. Editing by edric.

Culture

Requires a warm tropical climate, and shelter from wind. Plants do best with moderate to heavy shading. Cold Hardiness Zone: 11

Comments and Curiosities

A true dwarf palm from rainforests in Malaysia with pencil-thin stems and glossy leaves with only two pairs of leaflets. A gem of the undergrowth in the tropical garden. (RPS.com)
