Habitat and Distribution
Chamaedorea sullivanorum is found in Rainforest of Panama.Description
Trunk type: Solitary, this is a very small palm. Leaf detail: Bifid, dark blue/green, somewhat mottled, widely serrated leaf edges, heavily corrugated leaf surface. Editing by edric.
Culture
Requirements: Full shade to filtered light. Consistently moist soil, well drained position. this palm requires fair levels of humidity, and moderate warmth. Also known as Chamaedorea pumila, more cultural information can be attained by clicking the banner below.
Comments and Curiosities
Chamaedorea are dioecious, male, and female flowers, on separate plants.
Etymology: This palm is named after a local Southern California palm grower, Pauleen Sullivan. There is said to be a green form, for now classified as the same species.
